An evacuation drill or fire drill should be conducted, preferably, at least twice per year. Fire wardens / marshals should ensure that everyone leaves the building safely and assist visitors or colleagues with disabilities.
During an evacuation, additional precautions may need to be taken for areas identified as being high risk or dangerous because of risks posed by chemicals, kilns, electrical hazards or potentially dangerous animals. Access to these areas should be restricted to prevent unauthorised entry unless the person has received adequate instruction and training.
