Having effective employment management in place helps everyone in the organisation to know what the business is trying to achieve, the skill and competencies they need to fulfil their role and how they can develop their performance to develop the organisation. Where employees are engaged with their work they are more likely to go the extra mile for their employer and be more responsive, adaptable, creative to help the organisation drive competitive advantage.
From time to time employers are faced with tackling issues of poor performance. It is critical to ensure under-performing employees are managed consistently, fairly and in accordance with legal requirements. To do so, managers need to recognise their role and contribution to ensuring the consistent application of company procedures and making informed decisions relating to employee performance.
Managers or aspiring team leaders who are responsible for developing principles, practices and procedures for getting the best out of their people to support high performance working. These responsibilities will extend to recognising and handling issues of poor performance in accordance with best practice, the ACAS code of practice and the latest legal developments in this complex area.
The course is designed for up to 12 participants, it is delivered in an informal and interactive style encouraging group discussion.
